छठ व्रत कथा
छठ व्रत भगवान सूर्यदेव को समर्पित एक विशेष पर्व है। भारत के कई हिस्सों में खासकर यूपी और बिहार में तो इसे महापर्व माना जाता है। शुद्धता, स्वच्छता और पवित्रता के साथ मनाया जाने वाला यह पर्व आदिकाल से मनाया जा रहा है। छठ व्रत में छठी माता की पूजा होती है और उनसे संतान की रक्षा का वर मांगा जाता है। कार्तिक माह के शुक्ल पक्ष की षष्ठी तिथि को मनाए जाने वाले छठ व्रत का वर्णन भविष्य पुराण में सूर्य षष्ठी के रूप में है। हालांकि लोक मान्यताओं के अनुसार सूर्य षष्ठी या छठ व्रत की शुरुआत रामायण काल से हुई थी। इस व्रत को सीता माता समेत द्वापर युग में द्रौपदी ने भी किया था।

छठ व्रत कथा
कथा के अनुसार प्रियव्रत नाम के एक राजा थे। उनकी पत्नी का नाम मालिनी था। परंतु दोनों की कोई संतान न थी। इस बात से राजा और उसकी पत्नी बहुत दुखी रहते थे। उन्होंने एक दिन संतान प्राप्ति की इच्छा से महर्षि कश्यप द्वारा पुत्रेष्टि यज्ञ करवाया। इस यज्ञ के फल स्वरूप रानी गर्भवती हो गई।नौ महीने बाद संतान सुख को प्राप्त करने का समय आया तो रानी को मरा हुआ पुत्र प्राप्त हुआ। इस बात का पता चलने पर राजा को बहुत दुख हुआ। संतान शोक में वह आत्म हत्या का मन बना लिया। परंतु जैसे ही राजा ने आत्महत्या करने की कोशिश की उनके सामने एक सुंदर देवी प्रकट हुईं।देवी ने राजा को कहा कि "मैं षष्टी देवी हूं"। मैं लोगों को पुत्र का सौभाग्य प्रदान करती हूं। इसके अलावा जो सच्चे भाव से मेरी पूजा करता है मैं उसके सभी प्रकार के मनोरथ को पूर्ण कर देती हूं। यदि तुम मेरी पूजा करोगे तो मैं तुम्हें पुत्र रत्न प्रदान करूंगी।" देवी की बातों से प्रभावित होकर राजा ने उनकी आज्ञा का पालन किया।राजा और उनकी पत्नी ने कार्तिक शुक्ल की षष्टी तिथि के दिन देवी षष्टी की पूरे विधि -विधान से पूजा की। इस पूजा के फलस्वरूप उन्हें एक सुंदर पुत्र की प्राप्ति हुई। तभी से छठ का पावन पर्व मनाया जाने लगा।छठ व्रत के संदर्भ में एक अन्य कथा के अनुसार जब पांडव अपना सारा राजपाट जुए में हार गए, तब द्रौपदी ने छठ व्रत रखा। इस व्रत के प्रभाव से उसकी मनोकामनाएं पूरी हुईं तथा पांडवों को राजपाट वापस मिल गया।

शिवजी के पार्थिव पूजा से पायें स्वास्थ्य

भगवान शिव के प्रिय मास सावन में किया गया शिव पूजन, व्रत तथा दान बहुत फलदायी होता है। शास्त्रों में शिव का मतलब कल्याण करने वाला बताया गया है। सावन मास के हर दिन में किए गए तप का अपना अलग ही महत्व होता है। श्रावण मास में बीमारी या पीड़ा से राहत हेतु पार्थिव पूजन का बहुत महत्व है। इसमें रविवार को ब्रम्ह मूहुर्त में तिल का तेल शरीर में मलकर स्नान करने के उपरांत आदितेश्वरनाथ पूजन के लिए शंकर जी के आदित्य स्वरूप की पूजा करने का विधान है। इसके लिए मिट्टी का लिंग बनाकर षिव महिम्र स्त्रोत के श्लोकों से पूजा और अभिषेक करें। सूर्य को अध्र्य दें, जिसमें सफेद कनेर, बेलपत्र, चावल, दूध, शक्कर चढ़ाकर आरती करने के उपरांत दान करें तथा भजन कीर्तन करें। सूर्यास्त के पूर्व उक्त लिंग को बहते जल में प्रवाहित कर दान देने के उपरांत बिना नमक का आहार ग्रहण करें। इससे शारीरिक व्याधि दूर होकर स्वास्थ्य और आरोग्य की प्राप्ति होती है। इस व्रत में आदित्य हृद्य स्त्रोत का जाप करना विषेष हितकर होता है।

आपत स्थिति में बचाव हेतु करें महामृत्युंजय मंत्र जाप

महामृत्युंजय मंत्र जप व उपासना का बहुत ही महत्व है। किसी प्रकार की अनिष्ट की आशंका हो अर्थात् अष्टमस्थ राहु की दशा चल रही हो, मारकेश आदि की दशा चल रही हो या लगने पर, किसी भी प्रकार की भयंकर बीमारी से आक्रान्त होने पर मतलब रोगेश की दशा, अंतरदशा, अपने बन्धु-बन्धुओं तथा इष्ट-मित्रों पर किसी भी प्रकार का संकट आने वाला हो। किसी प्रकार से वियोग होने पर, स्वदेश, राज्य व धन सम्पत्ति विनष्ट होने की स्थिति में, अकाल मृत्यु की शान्ति एवं अपने उपर किसी तरह की मिथ्या दोषारोपण लगने पर, उद्विग्न चित्त एंव धार्मिक कार्यो से मन विचलित होने पर महामृत्युंजय मन्त्र का जप स्त्रोत पाठ, भगवान शंकर की आराधना से सद्बुद्धि, मनःशान्ति, रोग मुक्ति एंव सवर्था सुख सौभाग्य की प्राप्ति होती है। काम्य उपासना के रूप में भी इस मंत्र का जप किया जाता है। यह मंत्र निम्न प्रकार से है-
एकाक्षरी (1) मंत्र- हौं। त्र्यक्षरी (3) मंत्र- ॐ जूं सः। चतुराक्षरी (4) मंत्र- ॐ वं जूं सः। नवाक्षरी (9) मंत्र- ॐ जूं सः पालय पालय। दशाक्षरी (10) मंत्र- ॐ जूं सः मां पालय पालय।
वेदोक्त मंत्र- महामृत्युंजय का वेदोक्त मंत्र निम्नलिखित है-
त्र्यम्बकं यजामहे सुगन्धिं पुष्टिवर्धनम्। उर्वारुकमिव बन्धनान्मृत्योर्मुक्षीय माऽमृताम् ॥
इस मंत्र में आया प्रत्येक शब्द अपने आप में एक संपूर्ण अर्थ लिए हुए होता है और देवादि का बोध कराता है। अतः आपद स्थिति से बचाव हेतु महामृत्युंजय जप साधना ही एक मात्र उपाय है। इस प्रकार जीवन में कुछ भी असामान्य हो तो अर्थात् ग्रह दशाएॅ अनुकूल ना हो तो महामृत्युंजय जाप से कष्टों से बचा जा सकता है।

मातृनवमी श्राद्ध

श्राद्धपक्ष का एक दिन महिलाओं को समर्पित होता है। इस दिन को मातृनवमी के नाम से जाना जाता है। शास्त्रों में बताया गया है कि परिवार में जिन महिलाओं की मृत्यु हुई है उनकी आत्मा की संतुष्टि के लिए यह तिथि उत्तम है। आश्विन माह के कृष्ण पक्ष की नवमी तिथि पर पितृगणों की प्रसन्नता हेतु ‘नवमी का श्राद्ध’ किया जाता है। यह तिथि माता और परिवार की विवाहित महिलाओं के श्राद्ध के लिए श्रेष्ठ मानी जाती है। नवमी तिथि का श्राद्ध मूल रूप से माता के निमित्त किया जाता है। इस श्राद्ध के दिन का एक और नियम भी है। इस दिन पुत्रवधुएं भी व्रत रखती हैं, यदि उनकी सास अथवा माता जीवित नहीं हो तो। इस श्राद्ध को सौभाग्यवती श्राद्ध भी कहा जाता है। शास्त्रानुसार नवमी का श्राद्ध करने पर श्राद्धकर्ता को धन, संपत्ति व ऐश्वर्य प्राप्त होता है तथा सौभाग्य सदा बना रहता है।
मातृ नवमी के श्राद्ध की विधि इस प्रकार है-
नवमी श्राद्ध में पांच ब्राह्मणों और एक ब्राह्मणी को भोजन करवाने का विधान है। सर्वप्रथम नित्यकर्म से निवृत होकर घर की दक्षिण दिशा में हरा वस्त्र बिछाएं। पितृगण के चित्र अथवा प्रतीक हरे वस्त्र पर स्थापित करें। पितृगण के निमित, तिल के तेल का दीपक जलाएं, सुगंधित धूप करें, जल में मिश्री और तिल मिलाकर तर्पण करें। अपने पितरों के समक्ष गोरोचन और तुलसी पत्र समर्पित करना चाहित्य। श्राद्धकर्ता को कुआसन पर बैठकर भागवत गीता के नवें अध्याय का पाठ करना चाहित। इसके उपरांत ब्राह्मणों को लौकी की खीर, पालक, मूंगदाल, पूड़ी, हरे फल, लौंग-इलायची तथा मिश्री अर्पित करें। भोजन के बाद सभी को यथाशक्ति वस्त्र, धन-दक्षिणा देकर उनको विदा करने से पूर्व आशीर्वाद ग्रहण करना चाहिए।
