Sun in the fifth house

The 5th house being similar to the 5th sign Leo puts the Sun in its own natural environment. The native possesses dramatic flair and is naturally creative. This placement gives a lot of pride and uniqueness in one’s mental outlook and creativity. The person will be able to absorb themselves in creative work, which they would regard as being highly important. This creativity can manifest in two ways, either through a creative process or through children. Such natives derive their sense of self through either of these activities. However the native may have some difficulty producing children because of the hot malefic nature of the Sun. This placement gives a highly irritable and hot tempered character. One will be opinionated in their outlook, have a strong sense of right and wrong, and view the world from a position of superiority. The native may have a desire to boss or rule over others. One has a strong sense of purpose and possesses sharp insight. The Sun when well placed, can give good integrity and the ability for spiritual learning, interest in mantras, tantra or other spiritual techniques. In general the 5th house influence makes the person studious. It connects one to philosophical matters and an interest in politics. The person's career may involve speculation or other 5th house activity, such as game playing, sports, entertainment field, drama etc. The person is confident and self assured in love matters, although their sense of pride and ego may conflict with their capacity to give or receive love. The person may be good at advising because they possess the confidence and authoritativeness to do so. The Sun when too strong produces some dictatorial qualities and narcissism with this placement. When the Sun is weak or malefic one will have difficulty in love matters, speculation etc. and there would be a need to find a balance in 5th house matters. Indecision will be a problem for the native. The native feels more creative during the day than the night, and thus does well in professions which involve working during the day.
